Trees; branchlets warty. Leaves bipinnate, alternate; stipules minute; rachis, slender, pulvinate; pinnae 8-16 pairs, subopposite , slender, pubescent; leaflets 24-44, sessile, opposite. Flowers bisexual, creamy, in axillary and terminal panicles; calyx tube campanulate, short; petals 5, ovate-orbicular, clawed subequal; stamens 10, declinate; filaments subequal , basally villous; ovary half inferior, stipitate , glabrous; style suberect; stigma capitate. Fruit a pod; twisted.
