 Shrubs. Leaves opposite, decussate, ovate, margins thinly revolute. Inflorescences terminal, cymose, several to many flowered. Calyx with ovary portion subglobose; lobes 5, narrowly triangular to linear. Corolla bright red with yellow throat, salver-form; lobes suborbicular. Capsules globose to depressed globose.
